I have known Marybeth for 4 years and she continues to impress me in many different ways. First of all, as a race car driver she is extremely talented and only needs a sponsor behind her so that she can continue to develop her racing skills. There is no doubt in my mind that she can compete on the track in a professional racing series and be one of the top drivers. She has natural skill but she also works very hard at developing her skills further. Her "love of racing" however, may be one of the most important reasons that she excels as a driver. When she is on the track it is obvious how much she enjoys driving and competing.

Marybeth was / is a very popular driver primarily because of her talent and personality and the fact that she is sincere. The fans can detect her sincerity and know that she truly cares and appreciates it when they stop by at the track to meet her and get her autograph. I remember a Trans-Am race at Road America that Marybeth was driving in and a young couple stopped by with their 3 children to look at the race car. Marybeth came out of the trailer and talked with the family and even asked the one little boy if he would like to sit in the car. Marybeth posed for photographs with the family and they were thrilled. The family wrote a letter stating that Marybeth now has 5 new fans in her corner (see below). The thing is, Marybeth did it because she truly cares about the fans. There are not many drivers that bring that type of devotion to the racetrack.

Marybeth generates a lot of media coverage due to the fact that she is a very attractive and talented female competing in a male dominated sport. She is committed to being a role model, as demonstrated by her Racing Against Drugs talks to school students.

Marybeth has a dynamic personality, presents a professional image, and is fun to work with. Three reason that I would want her on my team, in addition to her driving talent. Marybeth is a very determined individual and is really a joy to work with.

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter in the hope that it will adequately recommend an unusual Canadian female talent: Marybeth Harrison.

Marybeth entered our 1999 F2000 series which has been hotly contested by drivers from Brazil, Jamaica, Germany, Bahrain, the United States and Canada. Well known internationally competitive drivers who have progressed from our cars include: F1 - Jacques Villeneuve / Indy Cars - Greg Moore, Patrick Carpentier, Alexandre Tagliani / Formula Atlantic - Kenny Wilden, David Epringham.

Marybeth's season end results were quite impressive compared to drivers who have been in our series for 2 or more years. In addition to her race results, she developed a fan club amongst the other racers and our staff. In addition to her affability, Marybeth's dedication to improvement is evident in her constant efforts to acquire knowledge to better her competitiveness. Throughout the whole season, I witnessed her continuous dedication to the development of her skills when most other drivers had gone back to their hotels.

We wanted a female in our series in 1999 and were excited with a prospect as accomplished as Marybeth. We therefore offered her a year-end private 1-on-1 day of coaching as a signing bonus. Her improvement has generated great anticipation for this upcoming season.

In addition to Marybeth's on-track skills, we find her current press coverage and marketable personality to be a bonus for an athlete at this level of the sport.

I would recommend Marybeth Harrison for any developmental racing team willing to take her to the next step.

Please call if I can be of further assistance.

Sincerely,

Brett Goodman
President

To whom it may concern:

This letter serves as reference for Marybeth Harrison.

Goodyear Canada's western distributor partner, Fountain Tire made a business decision in 1998 to sponsor Marybeth and her race team. The relationship has proved valuable for Fountain Tire in many areas including marketing, promotions and public relations.

During my own dealings with Marybeth I have witnessed a talented and passionate driver who also possesses a sharp marketing mind. She clearly recognizes the benefits of win/win partnerships and consistently looks for ways to enrich her value and increase the exposure of her sponsors. In addition, Marybeth is an excellent spokesperson who is able to address various audiences from children to employees to customers.

If you are looking to increase your brand or product, I highly recommend speaking with Marybeth Harrison about your objectives and plans.

Regards,

Jane Wilcox, Public Relations Director Goodyear Canada

RE: MACH 1 RACING - MARYBETH HARRISON

Our sponsorship with Marybeth Harrison has given us a tremendous amount of exposure beyond what I believe we could have ever imagined. With Marybeth's web site, numerous newspaper articles, magazine interviews, TV interviews; our name has been in the forefront of every media possible. Marybeth did a feature TV interview for one hour with David Ingram of "Ingram Live" in Vancouver for Fountain Tire. David Ingram's show received "Best Local TV Talk Show" beating out 1,000 entrants across North America. Marybeth has participated in numerous sales events/promotions across BC with enthusiasm and sincerity whenever we have requested her assistance.

With the 1998 season coming to and end, we know Marybeth's commitment to Fountain Tire will continue.

We have a unique, winning combination with Marybeth and look forward to working with Marybeth in the 1999 season.

To Whom It May Concern:

This letter is meant to address the marketing success that Fountain Tire has enjoyed since becoming the primary sponsor of Marybeth Harrison and the Fountain Tire Racing Team. Before we were exposed to her sponsorship opportunity, our company had been fairly close-minded about sponsoring one race car driver, instead opting for sponsoring a whole class or series. However, from even the earliest stages of the proposed sponsorship, it became very clear that Marybeth would provide us with more than just name recognition on her car. (This incidentally is not our experience with any other racing oriented opportunity.) Her exciting personality and confident speaking prowess dictated our initial meetings. This, coupled with the marketing plan that she agreed to help build and implement throughout the season left us no choice but to sponsor this bundle of energy.

After signing on to the title sponsorship of her car, we expected most of that energy to die down. Not a chance! Marybeth's presence in the marketing arena has grown stronger as the season has gone on. This has seemed to be coincidentally patterned with her racing performance. Not only has she agreed to all of our marketing requests, she has provided our marketing department opportunities that we were not exposed to previously. She has taken time out of her schedule to develop promotional ideas and partnerships that have meant tremendous exposure for our company, especially in the BC marketplace where we are still fairly new.

The promotional opportunities range from television, newspaper and the internet to personal appearances at store events and support talks to children. She has inspired a new interest in our company with respect to the racing world. We have a newly designed racing logo, many promotional items created for store usage as well as a newly developed area of the internet for this topic alone. This has significance to us in that we are a tire retaining company and sell the #1 name in racing, Goodyear.

It should now be very clearly noted that Marybeth Harrison has easily exceeded our marketing goals which we set which were fairly high due to her enthusiasm in the beginning. We would sincerely suggest to any company that places value on the marketing function to seriously consider what she has to offer. We are certainly glad we did!

Marketing Manager

Dear Mr. McGaw;

We recently had the opportunity of putting on a rather unusual event involving a female race car driver. On a past Saturday afternoon, we had Marybeth Harrison and her Ford-powered race car at our dealership in conjunction with a spring sales event. Media coverage included both the local newspaper and radio station. Unfortunately, the weather was not as cooperative as would have been desired with a spring storm leaving four inches of snow on the ground.

On the other hand, Marybeth Harrison was perhaps one of the best promotional spokespersons we have had the opportunity of working with at this dealership. I found her to be sincere and genuinely interested in the car business. Her unbridled enthusiasm was quite refreshing. I feel that if Ford Motor Company had an opportunity to use Marybeth she certainly would be seen in a very positive light by the motoring public.

Should you have any questions please feel free to contact myself at (604) 792-1361.

Yours sincerely,
